A founding member of Shopify's Documentation team. Joined as a Senior Technical Writer and moved into leadership; today I lead a large team of writers who mostly focus on content for the Shopify Help Center.
Most of my energy now goes to leverage: AI-assisted workflows that handle toil so writers can do the important work. That's meant a metrics dashboard that reports our content analytics and operational metrics, an analysis pipeline that delivers content opportunities and stale, dated content to writers weekly, a variety of skills to assist with our day-to-day work, and Slack summarization so nobody has to watch every channel. AI handles the minutiae; the team shifts toward mentorship, craft, and curation of the knowledge set.
